Privacy policy

1. Who we are
U-Screen ("we," "us," "our") operates the U-Screen hiring platform at useuscreen.com. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. For any privacy question, write to admin@useuscreen.com.
2. What we collect
From recruiters and hiring teams (account holders): name, work email, organization name, role, password (hashed), and authentication metadata.
From candidates invited to an interview: name, email, optional phone number, optional resume, scheduled interview time, interview audio and video while the interview is in progress, transcript of what was said during the interview, and the structured evaluation produced by our AI scoring layer.
From your browser: IP address, user-agent, and the cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not run advertising trackers on the marketing site.
3. How we use it
- To operate the platform (sending invites, scheduling, running interviews).
- To produce evaluation reports and transcripts for the hiring team that invited the candidate.
- To send transactional email (confirmations, reminders, contact-form replies).
- To investigate abuse, debug crashes, and improve product quality.
4. AI processing
Interview audio is transcribed by our speech-to-text provider in real time. Transcripts and the job description you provided are scored by large language model providers (currently Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini). We do not allow these providers to use your data to train their models, and content is processed under their published enterprise data-handling terms.
5. Who can see your data
Candidate data is partitioned per organization. Only members of the organization that invited a candidate can see that candidate's interview transcript, recording, or evaluation. We do not sell data to third parties and we do not share data across organizations.
We use the following sub-processors to run the service: Vercel (frontend hosting), Railway (backend hosting), Neon (Postgres database), Upstash (Redis cache), Cloudflare R2 (recording storage), Resend (transactional email), LiveKit (video infrastructure), Deepgram (speech-to-text), Anthropic and Google (AI evaluation).
6. Retention
We retain interview transcripts, recordings, and evaluations for as long as the customer account is active, or until the customer deletes the candidate record — whichever is sooner. Recording files expire automatically after 30 days unless extended by the account.
7. Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by writing to admin@useuscreen.com. Candidates can also request that their data be removed from a specific organization's instance by contacting that organization or by writing to us directly.
8. Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change. For material changes (new sub-processors, new categories of data), we email account holders before the change takes effect.
