About
Hiring is too important to fully automate.
We built U-Screen because the first-round interview is the part of hiring that breaks first — and the part where an AI copilot, used right, can give recruiters their hours back.
The companies we talk to are running thousands of resumes through their pipeline every quarter, and the same recruiters keep doing the same first call — re-asking the same screening questions, taking the same notes, writing the same summary. It's the most interruption-prone, least-leveraged part of the funnel.
The fully-automated answer — a robot that interviews the candidate with no human involved — feels off. Candidates can tell. Hiring managers don't trust the output. And the legal teams have opinions. So we built the other version: a real human conducting a real conversation, with an AI in the recruiter's ear instead of in front of the candidate.
That's U-Screen. The recruiter runs the call. The copilot keeps the requirements in mind and suggests follow-ups the recruiter would have asked if they had infinite focus. The transcript gets scored on the same rubric as every other candidate. The report writes itself. And the recruiter spends the saved hours on the candidates who actually move forward.
What we believe
Three principles we won't compromise on.
Recruiters stay in the driver's seat.
The AI suggests, the recruiter decides. The candidate is talking to a human, not a bot. That keeps the interview honest, the hiring decision human, and the legal surface area small.
Score every candidate the same way.
Two recruiters interviewing two candidates for the same role should grade against the same rubric. The JD is the rubric. Scores come from evidence in the transcript, not a hiring manager's mood.
Show your work.
Every score links back to a quote. Every rejection links back to a missed requirement. When you can audit how the AI got there, you can actually trust it.
